James turned 1 recently – I can’t believe how fast this particular year has gone! His sisters joined him for a bit – we especially had fun going for a walk around the neighborhood and playing in Mom and Dad’s bed.

We had a lot of fun really early in Manhattan Beach at Metlox Center before the crowds rolled in on a Sunday morning. It was a little cold and foggy, but the kids were troopers for me. Erin didn’t sit still for more than 3 seconds, but the boys did a great job of keeping her happy for me.

I have been meaning to share this session for ages. These two are favorite clients of mine, and Lainey is one of my Jason’s little girlfriends from preschool days. It was so cold and windy the day of their photos, but they were such good sports! I think it was because they know they get treats afterwards.

Faith looks like a little doll, doesn’t she? She had her serious face on first thing in the morning. She wasn’t thrilled with us at 8am on a cold morning, but she was such a good girl, and warmed right up to me. She just wanted to hang out in my basket and stare at my camera. She has more clothes and hair accessories than I do! You will be seeing more of her – these are just some of my early favorites as I am proofing her session.

These two were so cute! I got to their house a bit early, so I was able to catch them in the bath. They were both covered in markers from school – thank goodness for washable markers! Jimmy wanted to show me all his trains, and Mary Kate, well, I think she just wanted me to chase her.

This is what greeted me at bath time. She wanted yellow color dotz in the water so I opted for black and white images on these. The yellow bath water didn’t look quite right in color!

I have so enjoyed photographing this little guy every few months or so! We were able to change his outfits several times, and he stayed perfectly content, as long as he got to go to the playground in the middle of our shoot.

Preston enjoyed hanging out with me – loved being independent and showing off for the camera! However, he didn’t want anything to do with Mom or Dad that day…just wanted the show for himself. Check out the chubby cheeks and blue eyes!!

Ambree Honor…growing up again

I have been meaning to blog this session for a week or so! Here is Ambree again at 9 months. I LOVE this age! 6-9 months is one of my favorite ages to photograph because babies are so happy and expressive at this age. Ambree just loved hanging on to the black chairs at the Metlox Center. Every session I shoot with her, she loves to stick out her tongue at me and scrunch up her face, and then she gives me a big smile. She is by far one of the most expressive babies that I have photographed this year.
