It was amazing – I completely fell in love with the island and the people. The kids are absolutely exhausted from swimming and running around the beaches and pools. Anyone thinking of going to Kauai, please email me with any questions or for suggestions on where to stay, where to eat, etc. I think I just may have to go back. There are so many places I want to see in this world, but Kauai may be a place I visit more than once. (Even the redeye flight home was relatively pleasant!) Derek caught his first “wave” in Hanalei Bay – the highlight of his trip, and Jason was obsessed with the hotel water slide. I took my little point and shoot with me everywhere – I have a Panasonic that is super for the water and the beach. However, I won’t be going on another beach vacation without getting a underwater enclosure for my camera – I missed out on too many fun shots!

Off to the UCLA game tomorrow for Labor Day, and back to reality as school starts on Tuesday. I can’t believe my oldest baby is going to be in the first grade.
