Iyla turned one about a month ago, but I didn’t get a chance to blog these before we left for our trip. I loved seeing Iyla every few months for her first year of photos – I am going to miss seeing her asregularly now that she is one!

These two sisters really made me wish I had girls of my own. I LOVE having boys, but there is something about a sister bond that I really understand because I am very close to my sister. These two laughed the whole time, and could not have been more fun. So very glad their mom had the highest bid at the Silver Spur Elementary Fundraiser this year!

I love summer. Dressing for summer photos is easy – keep it simple! Sundresses and cardigans on girls… simple outfits with a pretty hair bow and a giggle make for fun images. Meet one of my new favorite little girls.

These three were an active bunch, and kept me on my toes. They had a blast playing and running together – glad I am fast enough to keep up! Here are some early favorites from their session. I edited the black and white ones with a little chocolate tone per Mom’s request, and I am loving the feel of them for some chocolate brown frames for their wall.

This family won a gift certificate for this photography session through a donation for Trinity Lutheran School’s yearly fundraiser. I LOVE photographing sisters – I have boys, so I really enjoy seeing the sister relationship with little girls. Emma and Ally were a blast! Mom made sure we had lots of different outfit options for the girls which really helped make a great photo session. The blues were great for bright color, and the matching aqua green dresses fabulous for a more muted, softer look. I have so many images that I love – I had a really hard time choosing what to blog!

Meet Sophia – just 10 days old and full of personality. She did not want to stay still or pose for my camera – just wanted to pee or suck on her hand. We waited… and finally she settled down to sleep after a few hours. Patience is always rewarded when it comes to newborn sessions! Isn’t she cute?
