A quick blog post as I am buried in editing right now! October has been CRAZY! Their grandmother called me about getting some canvases for their home – she wanted some new headshots of all her grandkids. Ages ranging from 1-11 yrs old… we fit everyone in between soccer practice and dinner! We are going to do black and white canvases, but I thought I would show these in color for their moms.

Emery gets two photos on the blog… one smiling and one serious. I don’t think she was still for more than 45 seconds the whole time I had the camera pointed at her. Her cousin Kailey was a huge help!

I adore this family! They are so fun, and really get into different ideas for photos. Here is a glimpse into our good times. I had my super duper assistant Allyson along for this session, and the boys wore us out!

Iyla turned one about a month ago, but I didn’t get a chance to blog these before we left for our trip. I loved seeing Iyla every few months for her first year of photos – I am going to miss seeing her asregularly now that she is one!

Perrin and Piper were in town visiting their grandparents from the east coast, so we wanted to get some images of them with their grandfather, as he is usually the one behind the camera. Plus, it was his birthday. Perrin had other ideas for the afternoon, but we managed to get a couple of keepers! First, a couple hugs for Mom…

This image isn’t what I had originally intended, but it speaks to me. The girls weren’t cooperating, and their grandfather was laughing, being a total good sport, when all of a sudden, Perrin gave him the sweetest hug. I adore her tip toed foot in the back, and Piper sitting there in her own little world, chomping away on her hand.

Oh, how I adore these three girls!!! I hope at least one of them is a future daughter-in-law! They have a great backyard swing, which we made the most of before Dad got home and joined us. Hard to believe we met just this past year – I feel like I known them much longer. Could be because we met up with them in New Zealand for two fun filled days during the twins’ 6th birthday!

Good thing we started with family photos – after two minutes, all the boys wanted to do was play, and not with each other! Boys will be boys. So off to the swings and slides we went, and smiles and laughter started again.

It is such a nice change of pace to spend some time with girls – photographing girls is an entirely different experience from photographing boys, especially when it is such sweet older girls! These three are all spread out enough in age that one is in elementary, one in middle school and one in high school, but they are all as close as can be and love sports. I had a delightful afternoon hanging out at their house and capturing some images for them.

I adore Jack. This session I got him all to myself, as his brothers were at school. We wanted to make sure we captured the time before he starts crawling like a mad man. We scheduled this session just in time! It was cold and kind of windy, so we decided to do the session indoors for a change. I had fun using all the different furniture and backgrounds in their house.

This session was such a pleasure – these kids were so fun! Little Gavin ran around like crazy, but big brother and sister were so sweet and good with him. It was such a nice afternoon hanging out and capturing images for you! There are so many images that I love – I am saving some of my favorites for my new website in the works.
